VBS Time: It’s just around the corner!

August 5-8th, 6-8pm

Journey families and friends – please pre-register your child/children/grandchildren today! Note: a light supper will be served at 5:30 each night to help families out before the 6pm VBS start each night.

Volunteers are needed in many roles. All you need is a love of working with children and sharing God’s love with them! Or work behind the scenes with meal preparation and serving. Please contact Amy Denson to find out where she needs helpers and to let her know when you can help. Middle school, high school and college youth make great helpers, too! – they say it “takes a village” – let’s BE the village!

This year’s VBS sounds like a lot of fun – check it out!

Journey supports Khadijah Islam

Khadijah will be part of the ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission program in 2018. She leaves later this summer for a year in Rwanda. Special offerings during June and July will support Khadijah. You can even support her trip online directly and read here more about Khadijah.

“Thank you again for your love, support, prayers, faith, and witness as I make the journey of a lifetime!”

YAGM invites ELCA young adults ages 21-29 into a transformative, year-long journey in international service. As they offer themselves in service, ELCA young adults are shaped by the witness of our global neighbors. They share in the journeys of companion churches and organizations in one of nine countries around the world.

A year of service through the Young Adults in Global Mission program invites young adults to become the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, providing critical support to ministries and projects in communities of need. It also invites volunteers into a journey of self-reflection, providing space to consider their sense of identity, God’s work in the world, and their place within it all.
